Sir David Attenborough
Quite a shock today. I received a handwritten response from Sir David Attenborough himself. How kind of him to take the time. A true gentleman. Unfortunately, he informed that he is having problems with his knees and will be unable to walk with me. He even said he would slow me down and be a burden. A burden!! He is so humble. It is I who am a burden on him by asking him along on my crazy adventure. I am so very touched by his kind words and admire him all the more.
Rebecca Hoskin
I attended the Future for Farming meeting at the Totnes Civic Hall last night which was supported by the Transition Town Totnes and Newton Abbot and the Green Party. Rebecca Hoskin was there to show her recent film which went down very well. Plenty of interesting comments from the other speakers about waking up to Peak Oil and supporting local ventures.
I managed to have a quick chat with Rebecca outside the venue and invited her to join me for a Walk and Talk somewhere during the journey. She was excited by the idea and mentionned that she and her partner love to walk along the coast near where she lives in Modbury. I left her with my new postcard leaflet for waterpilgrim and for her to contact me. So again, watch this space for news...
